It is designed in accordance with the latest guidelines of the Italian Fire Department (September 1st, 2025), introducing an advanced approach to safety where automation, reliability, and system integration define a new benchmark for photovoltaic protection.
How Smart Solar Sentinel works
Smart Solar Sentinel is a safety solution that acts directly on the DC lines of the photovoltaic system, automatically and intelligently managing shutdown and restart operations.
At the core of the system is an electronic board with dedicated MCU that monitors operating parameters in real time and allows simultaneous disconnection of up to six strings, each up to 50 A and 1000 VDC, connected via standard MC4 connectors.
In case of overheating or voltage loss, Smart Solar Sentinel automatically disconnects the strings, isolating the DC lines. The intervention is guaranteed even in the absence of power supply thanks to an integrated UPS system.
In emergency situations, following a remote manual command, the DC switch disconnector isolates the connected strings.Dedicated thermal sensors also enable self-protection functions in case of overtemperature.
When safe conditions are restored and the grid is stable, the system automatically activates the restart function, reducing downtime and ensuring operational continuity without manual intervention.

Smart Solar Sentinel is designed to integrate seamlessly into the Bremas solar range, ensuring design consistency, ease of installation, and enhanced electrical safety for photovoltaic systems.
