"Solar Guardian" by Bremas is a solution specifically designed for use in photovoltaic systems, in order to facilitate fire-fighting support interventions, or ordinary technical assistance, through the automated and/or manual remote disconnection of the DC lines present in the building.

The Solar Guardian is based on three fundamental principles to maintain maximum safety of the system without sacrificing its efficiency:

Rearm: Automatic reactivation of the system once the necessary safety conditions have been re-established (no manual intervention is necessary, the system resumes its normal operation autonomously)

Fire: Emergency disconnection in the event of fire or overheating

Safety: Reliable protection for your photovoltaic system

Wired string boxes

DC String boxes are made using specific components for the protection and wiring of a single string, two strings in parallel or two independent strings. Furthermore, it is possible to request customized configurations with wiring adapted to the type of PV system.

Pre-wired string boxes with nominal voltage of 600 Vdc and 1000 Vdc are available, with overvoltage protection via type 2 Surge Protective Devices (SPD), overcurrent protection via fuse holders base (fuses included), and isolation via disconnect switches specific for DC-PV1 and DC-PV2 use categories (according to IEC EN 60947-3).

Installation both indoors and outdoors, thanks to enclosures made of insulating material with IP65 protection degree.

DC Disconnect switches

Bremas disconnect switches range is designed for safety operations even under load.
DP-DK-DM-DX disconnect switches series has been specifically designed for DC applications in the solar industry.
In just one size current ratings from 12A to 60A up to 1000VDC and from 10A to 30A at 1500VDC are available. Thanks to its mechanical and electrical characteristics the DP-DK-DM-DX achieves top performances and the highest standards of quality and operational reliability.

SPD - Surge protective devices

Our range of surge protection devices (SPDs) offers comprehensive solutions for both DC photovoltaic systems and low-voltage AC distribution networks. The DC models are optimized for photovoltaic applications up to 1000 Vdc, certified according to EN 50539-11, and available in Type 2 and Type 1+2 configurations. The AC models provide effective protection against atmospheric surges in TN-S and TT systems.

Both series integrate high-performance MOV varistors, with the AC versions also including gas discharge tubes (GDT) for enhanced surge dissipation. The modular design simplifies maintenance, while the OCFM integrated disconnection system ensures safe operation at end-of-life. Local status indicators and optional remote signaling, combined with fast DIN rail mounting and IP20-protected terminals, make these SPDs ideal for safe and efficient installations in controlled indoor environments.

RCBOs - Residual Current Circuit Breakers with Overcurrent Protection

AC Disconnect switches

The range of Bremas disconnectors includes the DS 20-32-40A, DS 50-63-80-100A, TS and TSC/TSD series with nominal currents from 16A to 2500A.
The contacts are made with silver alloy tablets with double break positive opening, to ensure a high degree of safety and electrical efficiency. The DS 20-100A series of captive screw clamps have an IP20 protection rating and are supplied in the open position to reduce installation time. Additional clamps and accessories available.
